Milestone sessions are designed to celebrate the growth, personality, and joy that make each stage unique. Shannon creates playful, vibrant images that help families remember exactly how this season felt.

What To Expect


Milestone sessions are designed around your child's pace, not the clock.

Shannon keeps things relaxed and playful — no rushing, no pressure.

She takes cues from your little one and captures the joy, curiosity, and personality that make this stage so special. Sessions typically run 30–60 minutes.

Your edited gallery will be delivered within 1–3 weeks.

  • The first year goes by faster than anyone expects. One day they're learning to sit up, and before you know it they're taking their first steps. Milestone sessions are about preserving those little expressions, tiny hands, and sweet personality traits that change so quickly, so you'll always have a way to remember exactly who they were in this season.

  • Simple is always best. Soft textures, neutral colors, and outfits without large logos or busy patterns keep the focus right where it belongs—on your little one. Once you're booked, I'll send a style guide with outfit inspiration to help make planning easy.

  • The best thing you can do is schedule your session during a time of day when your little one is usually happiest and well-rested. I recommend avoiding nap times whenever possible and making sure they've had a full tummy before we begin. Bringing along a favorite snack, comfort item, or small toy can also be a big help.

    That said, babies are wonderfully unpredictable, and that's completely okay. I always build extra flexibility into my sessions so we have time for cuddles, diaper changes, snack breaks, or simply letting your little one warm up. There's never any pressure to rush or force smiles. Some of the sweetest photographs happen during those quiet, in-between moments.

  • Yes! First birthdays are one of my favorite milestones to celebrate. Whether you'd like a simple portrait session, a cake smash, or a combination of both, we'll create a session that feels fun and true to your family.

  • Absolutely! While the focus is on celebrating your little one, I always encourage parents and siblings to jump in for a few photos. These moments are just as much about your growing family as they are about your baby's milestone.

  • Of course! A favorite stuffed animal, blanket, or meaningful heirloom can add a personal touch to your session and often helps little ones feel more comfortable. Those special items often become some of the sweetest memories to look back on.

  • Every session includes more than just beautiful photographs. Your experience, professional editing, and a private online gallery are all part of what I provide.
